Welcome to the website of Event Light & Sound. We are a lighting equipment hire company based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. We stock a wide variety of lighting and special effects equipment, together with the technical and people skills necessary to service any size event, from a small family celebration, to a large scale touring show.
Where Event Light & Sound differs from other hire companies, is that I personally oversee all the projects we service. I work to very high standards, with attention to detail, and insist on the same level of commitment from my co workers. When you engage Event Light & Sound to service your event, it's not "just another job" to us.
Your event may just need a little lighting in a supporting role. Or, as is becoming more usual, you may wish your event to have the "WOW" effect. With more than thirty years experience of providing lighting for a diverse range of events, and with many hundreds of satified clients, I am confident that I can provide exactly what is required for your event, regardless of scale.
We have recently invested in a range of enviromentally friendly lighting equipment, based around LED and discharge sources. These typically offer a reduction in the amount of electricity used at an event by between 35% and 95%. As well as being kind to the planet, this is also usefull where power is limited.
For yoiur complete peace of mind, all electrical items are tested and maintained according to the Electricity At Work Regulations 1989, and all rigging and lifting equipment is maintained to the Lifting Operations And Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998. We also have in force £2M public liability cover.
On the following pages you will find a listing of the equipment we hold in stock, our terms of business, and some infomation which will help you when hiring equipment, and some photo examples of past events.
